			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Press releases are the secret weapon of marketing that few know how to use well. Those that do get fantastic results most others fail or are left out in the cold. It’s as if there is a conspiracy of silence and those that know how to benefit from them are keeping it to themselves.<br />
Press releases used to be the sole property for the large companies and their public relations companies or agencies. This put others off who would think that they weren’t “big enough” to do one. Some would go to PR companies and be charged up to $300 for a single release that may still even fail because they lacked the credibility to go this route. Now it’s all change as anyone can take advantage of press releases. Not because the world’s media has suddenly opened up its collective contact book to everyone but because there is now another route to the people that matter &#8211; the buying public.<br />
There is one essential barrier that you must overcome to get the benefits of press releases and that is the acceptance of your release by the various distribution services. If you don’t follow their rules and conditions to the letter then your release will be delayed and rejected again and again. Sadly many releases are either simply ignored as their authors give up.<br />
To be truly successful you must write a press release in the correct format.  It’s like a code that must be followed and if you make a mistake you’ll fail.  The most important point is to tone the language down and talk in the third person. So “I’ve released a fantastic new course” becomes “ a new course has been released by P4 Publishing”. An additional tip to keep you on the right side of those sub editors is that companies are singular. So its “P4 Publishing has” not P4 Publishing are”.

Perhaps because so many of those that try get it wrong and fail miserably. Over 95% try and fail but read on for some essential tips to help you be one of the 5% that succeed. Get it right and you could harness this incredibly effective marketing tool, reap the benefits, and there hasn’t been a better time to try!</p>
<p>This is because there’s been a revolution in the world of press releases.  I bet few of you have even noticed but the changes are quite remarkable. The past has been dominated entirely by the corporate players who talked to the media via PR companies who then wrote about it to be read and viewed by the public. Now there is a shortcut to that public that anyone can use by spreading the word via websites, blogs and newsletters!</p>
<p>However, a serious barrier to your press release success are the Editors that police publications of all sizes and formats.  I know I used to be one for over 25 years and I used to discard or delete over 95% of press releases. If you can’t get past the Editor then you will fail.
